A TEENAGE boy has been taken to Aintree Hospital after being hit by a car this morning, Friday.
The accident, involving a white Fiat, happened at around 7.45am at the roundabout of Barrow Hall Lane and Lingley Green Avenue in Great Sankey.
An air ambulance was called but the boy was taken by land ambulance to hospital.
The patient, believed to be around 14 years old, was fully alert and conscious when paramedics arrived.
He suffered facial injuries and back pain but neither are thought to be serious.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
