A BARE-CHESTED man wielded two kitchen knives during a jealous rage, screaming at police to Taser him outside his ex's house.

The frightening incident involving Ashleigh Booth was captured on a body worn police camera which shows the shirtless defendant shouting, swearing and stamping his feet as he holds the blades in both outstretched hands.

The judge jailed him for six months, less the time spent on a qualifying curfew.

February: Burglar chased off in Hampton, Evesham after crime spree

A BURGLAR was chased off after he entered several homes in Evesham in the middle of the night and made off with cash on February 18.

The suspect who has been operating in Hampton, Evesham, is described as a white English male with black hair.

Another burglary was reported in Grey Gardens when cash was stolen after the suspect gained entry, again through an insecure door.

March: Police investigate alleged sexual assault at Evesham Leisure Centre

AN investigation was launched after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted at Evesham Leisure Centre.

Police released a CCTV image of a man who might have information on the assault, which officers were continuing to investigate.

In the incident, that happened at 7.30pm on the evening of Friday, February 22, the victim was showering in her cubicle following a swim in the leisure's centre and challenged a man who was lying on the floor staring up at her from under the partition of her cubicle.

April: Resident and builder set for legal battle over £50,000 extension work at 'dream home'

A HAMPTON resident and building firm were set for a long legal battle over the £50,000 paid to carry out work on a "dream home".

Barbara Carr, a resident of St Andrew Road, said only 15 per cent of work on a one-room extension on her bungalow was completed - but Ian Arthurs, from Sedgeberrow Build and Extend, that was contracted to do the work, hit back saying in fact 70 per cent of work was completed but to the wrong specifications were given to him by Mrs Carr.

May) Rough sleeper who was camped in Argos settles into new home

AFTER weeks of rough sleeping in a disused shop, a man was settled into a new home.

In May, members of the public were concerned after the old Argos store in Evesham was boarded up. A man had previously placed a tent outside the building.

Gay Lloyd, Principal Housing Officer at Wychavon said: “We’ve been working with a rough sleeper in Evesham who has been situated outside Argos for a number of weeks. We’ve worked to support his personal and housing needs and encouraged him to take up accommodation. We’re pleased that he has now taken up that offer and since last week he has been living in a property locally.

June: Arrest made after man dies in crash near Evesham

A MAN in his 50s died after a crash near Evesham on June 25.

Police said a 23-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving.

Officers were called at 6.45am to the crash on the A46 Cheltenham Road, near Beckford, involving a silver Vauxhall Vectra and a pedestrian who was tending to his vehicle.

The man in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene.

July: Accident causes heavy traffic near Evesham with road closed in both directions

AN accident saw heavy congestion on the Evesham Bypass.

The A46 southbound after the accident, which took place at around 9.45 on Tuesday July 2 near the Volkswagen garage.

It re-opened northbound at 11am.

The accident happened between the B4035 Badsey Road and A44 Broadway Road.

Traffic heading down towards Salford Priors and the Twyford roundabout was most affected, and traffic was also busy heading through Evesham Town Centre.

August: Tributes to 'amazing mummy' who died in crash

TRIBUTES were paid to an 'amazing mummy' who died in a crash near Flyford Flavell.

Friends of Nicola Johansson, 30 set up a go fund me page to raise funds for her her partner Jamie Mackie and their two young children.

Nicola's friend Sarah Houghton said: "She has left behind her devastated partner Jamie and two young daughters under 5, the eldest starting school in a few days time. A group of local mums that had become friends with Nicola have set the go fund me page up in her memory as a small gesture to support Jamie and the girls through this unimaginable time."

September: Aldi supermarket to open in Evesham

Standing at 1,254 sqm of retail space, the Sinclair Retail Park store is the second Aldi in Evesham and is run by Store Manager, Alan Ridley.

October: Amateur snooker player scammed man out of £45k in online dating con

A FRAUDSTER from Evesham who conned thousands of pounds from a man he met on a dating site – in part to supposedly launch a professional snooker career – could face prison, we reported in October.

Benjamin Lewis met Robert Shepherd, who was studying at Worcester Sixth Form College, online before fleecing him out of a reported £45,000 over a six month period.

However, the defendant’s solicitor told magistrates he had not seen any official confirmation regarding how much money was actually taken and was under the impression it was less than that.

Amateur snooker player Lewis claimed he needed the money to turn professional, buy a new car and visit his dad after a heart attack, amongst other things, the court heard.

November: Rescue crews attend after man is seen in river, Evesham

CREWS were called to river search for man who was believed to have been in the water in Evesham.

Emergency services were called to an incident in Waterside, Evesham on November 20.

A police spokesperson said: “Emergency services are in attendance on Abbey Road, Evesham following concerns that a man had gone into the river Avon,”

A man was later found dead in the river and we were told he may be linked to the attacks on two women who sustained serious injuries.

December: Tributes to dad killed in crash

TRIBUTES were paid to a dad that died after a car crash.

Tributes have been paid to Waldemar Domachowski who died after a crash on the A44 Broadway Bypass on Monday (December 2).

Mr Domachowski was driving home after finishing a work shift.

The page set up by colleagues says: "He always took the time to say hello, was always smiling and worked amazingly hard to support his family."

"We are trying to raise some funds to help his grief stricken family at this expensive time of year and hopefully help towards the high costs associated with this untimely death."
