NEW tenants of a restaurant are 'very pleased' to be serving a town.

Luca Gallito whose family have set up Benvenuti - Belle House, formerly Belle House on Broad Street Pershore said things are "so far so good."

"Pershore is a lovely town. The people are very helpful and very supportive. We are really pleased to be here." Mr Gallito said.

The family who are originally from Naples have moved from Bradford on Avon to Pershore to open their first Italian restaurant. Mr Gallito said they heard a lot about the town including a bit about the Plum Festival, for which Pershore is well known for, and thought it sounded like "a very nice town."

Benvenuti - Belle House has been serving in Pershore for the past month, offering customers "favourite old world Italian dishes."

The site was previously home to Belle House which traded for 25 years under Steve and Kathryn Waites who eventually gave up the restaurant for 'personal reasons.'

The restaurant was highly thought of in the area earning a reputation as a fine-dining spot.
