THE Worcester Oddfellows have presented a cheque for £200 to the Friends of Pershore Centre.
Oddfellows grandmaster John Bradley presented the money to Anthony Horner, chairman of the Friends at the Station Road centre, which provides respite and relief for users.
The town’s other centre, at Abbots Grange, covers daytime needs of the service users.

Mr Horner said: “ On behalf of the Friends, may I express our thanks and appreciation for their gift.
“The funds that we raise all help with equipment that the users need, ie transport, beds, chairs, electric fans, and funds help for day trips out with the superb staff.
“Last year we funded a garden makeover to the sum of £12,500 to the rear of the building to help with wheelchair access and artificial lawn including raised flower beds.
“Most of our finance is through small grants etc. If anybody would like to make a donation through whatever means,we would be very grateful.”
