Pershore Rotary’s President Ken Rowe was at Pershore High School this week to present certificates to the participants in this year’s Rotary Young Photographer Competition.

For this year’s national competition, entrants had to produce a portfolio of three photographs on the theme Through my Eyes.

The first stage is organised by Rotary clubs across the country and 25 young photographers from Pershore High School entered at both intermediate and senior level.

Overall winner at the senior level was Madison Gough, with Chloe Guscott second and Alexandra Wild third.

Winner at the intermediate level was Anna Harvey with runner-up Phoebe Dudley. The portfolios of Madison and Anna now go for judging at Rotary district level against entries from the other 61 clubs in the district.

The successful entries from the 26 Rotary districts in the UK then go on to be judged at national level.

The competition was judged by Judith Fulton, a former Rotary president; John Kellett, secretary of the Vale of Evesham Camera Club; and Stephen Gledhill, of Virtually Grey Gallery.
