FIREFIGHTERS from three stations in Swindon raced to a Highworth home after its fire alarms went off.
Crews from Stratton, Swindon and Westlea Fire Station received the alert at 12.04pm on Thursday.
They provided first aid to someone inside a house on Cherry Orchard who had suffered minor smoke inhalation, then left them in the care of the ambulance service.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said:"Stratton Fire Station were initially mobilised to alarms sounding at the premises.
"However there was a report of smoke in the kitchen by the alarm collecting centre and therefore additional resources were sent.
"Upon arrival, the crews discovered a fire involving cooking on the hob, which was already out.
"The crews carried out natural ventilation to clear the property of smoke and used a gas air monitor to check the air for any harmful gases."
A crew from Swindon responded to alarms activating in a house on Twyford Close in Park North at 10.12am on Wednesday.
This turned out to be a false alarm and no firefighting was needed.
