Environmental campaigners from across the Vale of Evesham gathered in imaGine in the town to ‘Show Their Love’ for the planet and map out the key milestones towards net-zero carbon emissions..
Evesham mayor, Cllr Mark Goodge, highlighted the opportunities for a healthier happier future and urged people to push for positive change in the drive towards Zero Carbon.
Greening Evesham lead Robin Walker introduced the Transition Timeline and challenged groups to identify the key milestones towards zero carbon in the areas of energy, transport, food, waste and biodiversity. These were then plotted on a timeline through to a target of 2040 for Evesham to achieve net-zero carbon emissions.
Kathy Haynes, of TEV, distributed pledge cards highlighting 10 things people can do this year to reduce their carbon footprint, and readers can pick up one of these from imaGine over the next couple of weeks.
