More trees and wildflowers are to be planted and benches and play equipment installed at the Riverside Gardens.
Bridport Town Council has approved a new management plan for the popular green space and following two consultations over the winter, the new five-year plan will see more tree planting, wildflower planting, improved information and seating as well as the introduction of play equipment.
An area has been earmarked for a community tree nursery to support a local group promoting tree planting around Bridport.
A public tree planting event will be taking place on Friday, March 20 between 12noon and 3pm at the gardens.
The new management plan and report on the consultations can be found at bridport-tc.gov.uk
