Firefighters in Greenwich were today called an electrical fire involving solar panels after smoke was spotted billowing from a hotel.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called at 12:05pm today, April 1, to a 10-storey hotel on Catherine Grove.
The cause of the fire is not known, but it involved solar panels, and the fire crew were forced to work with an engineer to isolate the electricity supply.
By 6pm, LFB said the fire was under control, with electrical cabling destroyed in the blaze but no reported injuries.
