ANOTHER NINE people have confirmed to have died after testing positive for coronavirus in Hampshire's hospitals, the NHS have said.
It is the largest increase in the area since the outbreak began, and covers Basingstoke, Andover and Winchester hospitals.
It comes as another 561 people in England have died after testing positive for the virus, bringing the total up to 2,698.
It is the third consecutive day that there has been a record daily increase.
Of the nine deaths in Hampshire, one death occured on March 25, two on March 26, two on March 30, three on March 31 and one yesterday.
Yesterday, it was announced that there were 652 cases of coronavirus in Hampshire, as the total in the UK rose to 29,474.
