A PLANNING application has been submitted to start work on a new Co-op in Barrow.
The function room of the Lisdoonie Hotel will be changed into a Co-op convenience store with the creation of 15 jobs.
Plans have now been submitted to install signage at the site.
Access onto the site from Furness Park Road will be closed off with a new larger entrance created from Abbey Road.
The 12-bed hotel has been owned, managed and run by the Cook family for more than 40 years, and there are plans to retain a smaller guesthouse.
