AN Alcester choir wants to make sure care home residents are enjoying music during the lockdown by providing free music.

The Alcester Male Voice Choir are offering to donate CD recordings of the choir to local care homes to delight residents.

Choir founder and director of music Judith Land said: “We are aware that music is so important in a Care Home setting, and our recordings include a wide variety of songs which do appeal to all musical tastes, many of the songs residents will know and we hope that they will bring back happy memories.

"We appreciate that this is just a tiny gesture compared with what is going on in Care Homes at the moment and residents can no longer enjoy live entertainment, but if we can somehow help to bring a little cheer to residents, then we are happy to do so."

Care Homes that are interesting in receiving a free CD are asked to contact Judith on 07886 139781or by emailing judithamvc@hotmail.com.

The music will then be delivered to care homes in a safe manner.
