LOCAL resident Andrew Brumby has been using musical talents to entertain his friends and family during this lockdown period.

What started as 50 or 60 people tuning in to hear the 37-year-old from Cleeve Prior has gradually grown to regular 100-plus audiences on his Facebook page every Friday evening.

And his fans are not only local – people are watching in Australia, Dubai and Canada, too. Even Scandinavian fans of The Rifles have tuned in after being persuaded by a band member!

Such has been the success of his initiative over the first couple of weeks, Andy decided to set up a just giving page to raise money for NHS charities together.

Friend Wayne Ormsby said: "It’s simple, just like a jukebox. Put your money in and he will play a song.

"Andy understands how tough times are for some at the moment, so he plays anyway but even a small donation of a couple of pounds is really appreciated.

"Andy's philosophy doing this is just forget about the world and enjoy yourself for a few hours which is a much-needed tonic for us all at the moment.

"He also regularly reinforces the messages to stay home and wash your hands!

"His music is a mix of everything including his own music which was written with his band Hoden Lane.

"If you are looking for entertainment with a feel good vibe, then I invite you to join his Facebook page Andy Brumby (Evesham) at 21.30 every Friday.

"He has already raised nearly £1,000 but we would like to see the target even higher."
