There have been no more coronavirus related deaths in Worcestershire hospitals over the last 24 hours.

The latest figures, announced by the NHS today (Tuesday, June 16) show there have been no further reported deaths for the sixth day in a row.

The total number of hospital deaths therefore remains at 294, made up of 266 deaths recorded at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and 28 at Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust. The latest figures relate to new deaths being announced (the deaths did not all happen on the same day).

In England, a further 79 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 28,061.

Patients were aged between 35 and 98 years old. Eight patients, aged between 35 and 92, had no known underlying health conditions.

Their families have been informed.

The Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust covers the Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital as well as the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital.
