A PRESTATYN eatery has undergone a revamp during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Beach Hut, located on the seafront at Nova Prestatyn, will initially launch as a takeaway offer due to current Government guidelines, and it will evolve into a rustic indoor and outdoor eatery serving pizzas, build your own burgers and a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Upgrades include new seating and lighting, entertainment, a beach front takeaway, and an outdoor seating area with views overlooking Prestatyn’s sandy beaches.

Jamie Groves, managing director of Denbighshire Leisure Ltd, said: “We have used the closure period due to the pandemic, to refresh the restaurant and introduced ‘The new Beach Hut outdoor bar and café’.

"It will be one of a kind along the Denbighshire coast, and it comes with the potential for events and entertainment as restrictions ease in future.

"It will be the perfect place to kick back after a long day and enjoy great food in a relaxed and authentic sea-side retreat.”

Cllr Bobby Feeley, cabinet lead member for health and wellbeing, said: “It has been a difficult season for the Leisure and tourism industry and we recognise that restrictions will continue to cause problems over the next few months, however Denbighshire Leisure Ltd launching this exciting new outdoor offer is a sign of good things to come.

"Following on from the success of 1891, we are very proud of Denbighshire Leisure Ltd’s achievements in the food and beverage industry, and the team have worked extremely hard during the closure period to introduce this safe new outdoor offer that residents and visitors alike can enjoy whilst adhering to strict Government guidelines."
