A MAN was rescued by emergency services after falling from a ladder at a commercial building in Poole.
Ambulance and fire crews attended the incident in Alder Road at around 4.50pm on Thursday.
A spokeswoman for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said that a 28-year-old man had fallen from height and firefighters were called to assist the rescue.
"One crew from Westbourne attended and rescued the person from where he had fallen and handed over to the ambulance crew," the fire service spokeswoman said.
Witnesses reported seeing a fire engine in Alder Road, near the entrance to the former Parrs confectionery site, which has been vacant for several years.
A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service said: "We were called on Thursday at around 4.50pm about an incident on Alder Road, Poole.
"The caller reported to us that a male had fallen from a ladder.
"Our teams treated the patient at the scene and transported him to hospital by land ambulance with a suspected ankle injury."
