I READ a letter on Friday claiming that there is widespread criticism of the long grass in cemeteries. I am unaware of this.
Grass cutting is not a vital task. The BCP Council has unexpected and far more urgent matters to attend to at this time.
Visiting family graves, including that of my wife Marion Marples who died suddenly last year, has been a very special experience. The cemetery looks different and beautiful.
At this time of fear and crisis it is a delight to find a rural oasis in the urban sprawl where we are trapped.
