The cycle lane and bollards in place on Evening Hill
NOW that the council have made it safer for cyclist going up Evening Hill, perhaps there could be thought given to the “lone” walker.
As I was walking down the hill, six hefty fellows were running up the hill in a bunch. None of the endeavoured to make room for me – I was the one who had to sidestep them.
Nevertheless, thank you to the individual runners who give me plenty of space.
Should anyone be interested, Evening Hill has had three different names in the past – Oakman’s Hill 1748, Clouds Hill 1765 and Lilliput Hill Road 1937.
