A MAN who committed fraud has been told to back thousands in compensation to a hotel.
William Muringani used a credit card that did not honour payment to pay for a £2,578 stay in a Windermere hotel, a court heard.
The defendant, 37, of Friday Lane in Derby, admitted that he committed fraud between January 8 and January 12 when he appeared before South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court.
He was sentenced to 250 hours and told to pay back the money owed. He will pay the fee at a rate of £20 per month.
