HALFORDS retail store in Cirencester will not be reopening.

The company has confirmed that the auto parts store, located in Cricklade Street, has closed permanently.

A spokesman for Halfords said:"After reviewing our stores in the local area we decided not to renew the lease at Cirencester when it expired in July 2020.

“Colleagues at the store are aware of this decision and we're currently consulting with them in order to support them through the process. While the consultation is in progress we won’t be able to confirm any plans but would like to assure everyone that anyone affected will be offered the chance to stay within the business.

“We’d like to thank all our customers for their support of our Cirencester store and have three stores within 15 minutes’ drive, and look forward to welcoming customers at any of those."

The company confirmed that the autocentre, located at Metric Trade Park in Love Lane, will remain open and will not be affected by the closure of the retail store.
