Update: Evesham police now report the A46 is reopen.
Original story: DRIVERS are being warned the A46 is closed southbound from Bidford to Evesham due to a four car crash.
The crash has taken place between B439 Station Road - the Salford Priors roundabout, Salford Priors - and the A44, Twyford roundabout in Evesham.
Traffic heading away from Alcester towards Evesham is understood to be particularly affected.
Police are advising motorists to avoid the area, and use alternative routes.
It is hoped normal traffic conditions will return in the next hour, Highways England have added.
