Several arrests were made in Worcester city centre last night [August 29] for violent disorder, according to West Mercia Police.
The policing group, through their West Mercia Specials Twitter account, said: "Several arrested for violent disorder and potentially spending the rest of the night in custody. "Now cleaning the van cage as the lovely individual we transported to custody has spat all over the floor."
Just hours before the tweet, the specials - who are voluntary police constables but with the same enforcement powers as regular police constables - remarked on how well people were behaving in Worcester's 'night time economy', saying: "Out in the van assisting on nights in the city centre tonight. Good to see most people are behaving so far."
