A CHARITY which supports vulnerable local people with food, medical assistance and other assistance, has received another grant.
Evesham Volunteer Centre has been awarded a £500 grant to provide its volunteers with much needed PPE and also help with its running costs.
The group received the funding after Nigel Huddleston, Mid Worcestershire MP, nominated them for a cash award from Western Power Distribution’s (WPD’s) ‘In This Together – Community Matters Fund’.

Helen Gray, Evesham Volunteer Centre chief officer said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to WPD for their very generous grant which has gone towards enabling us to carry out our services during the last few months to the people of Evesham and the rural vale.”
Mr Huddleston added: “I was pleased to nominate Evesham Volunteer Centre.
“For over 35 years they have been a crucial lifeline for vulnerable and elderly people in the local area.”
