A FLOOD warning has been issued for the Evesham area as the county is battered by heavy rain.
Property, roads and farmland are expected to flood between 7pm tonight and 11am tomorrow after the heaviest rainfall since March.
A Government spokesman said: "We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in Wyre Piddle including Wyre Piddle caravan park. Eckington Road will be impassable.
"A predicted peak at Evesham of between 2.6m to 2.8m is expected during Monday morning.
" Further showery rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours.
"We are closely monitoring the situation.
"Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded."
Nationally, the persistent rain has brought flooding and transport disruption, with more than 20 flood alerts in place
The Met Office said parts of Wales, the West Midlands and southern England could see 20mm of rain today
It comes after low-pressure system, Storm Alex, moved in from France and clipped the southern edge of Britain.
