WEST Ham are eyeing two 'blockbuster' Championship signings before the domestic transfer window closes on October 16 as they look to bring in Brentford's Said Benrahma and Josh King from Bournemouth.

The Hammers need attacking options following the departures of Felipe Anderson - who has joined Porto on a season long loan - while Jack Wilshere had his contract terminated.

The £25m-rated Benrahma, 25, looks set to follow Ollie Watkins (who joined Aston Villa) away from west London after the club failed to secure promotion from the Championship by losing in the play-off final to rivals Fulham.

King, who has previously been linked with a move to Manchester United, wants an immediate return to the Premier League following relegation with the Cherries last season.

NEW Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton wants to be reunited with Anthony Knockaert and make the Fulham attacking midfielder his first signing.

Hughton, named Sabri Lamouchi's successor on Wednesday, managed Knockeart to great success at Brighton with the player part of the team that was promoted to the Premier League in 2017.

The 28-year-old joined Fulham from Brighton for £10m earlier this summer following a successful loan last season, where he helped Scott Parker's side gain promotion to the Premier League.

Knockaert, who has also been linked with Cardifff City, scored five goals in 39 appearances for Fulham, who were promoted when they beat Brentford in the play-off final at Wembley.
