A FORMER vet and his wife have celebrated their Diamond Wedding anniversary.

James Jarvis and his wife Pat were married in Bedford in 1960 after meeting at the London University Valentine’s Day ball.

James ( known as Jim) had just qualified as a vet and Pat was working in the university.

After several years in the London area, including West Drayton , Ryeslip , Ickenham and Croydon they moved to Southend on Sea with their family of 4 children, Mark , Liz, Clare and Emma.

In 1977 Jim purchased the Coopers Lane veterinary practice in Evesham and practised there for over 30 years.

Their Daughter Emma said "They've remained extremely loyal to each others needs."

At 85 they both still live independently at their home on Greenhill and the family has grown to 4 children, 9 grandchildren , and 6 great grandchildren .
