A MUM worried about her asthmatic son is desperate to find a home that isn't 'riddled with mould'.

Hannah Ambler said: No matter how hard I try, no matter how much I scrub and treat the walls it all just comes back through."

Miss Ambler who lives in Broadway with her son Billy, said: "I’m allergic to mould so I technically shouldn’t be touching it but I have no choice. A lot of anxiety comes from my intestinal condition and since having my son it has definitely gotten worse as I’m always worrying about him and his health; as he had a traumatic birth (there were some complications)."

"He’s had far too many trips to hospital thanks to this property being the way it is with the damp and mould in the walls; his asthma is agitated by the mould. He’s on an inhaler just to help him keep his airways open."

“I honestly don’t know what else to do.”

Miss Ambler said she was initially meant to move to a property in Pershore.

"I was chasing them up because I was told by the council I was matched to a house, I called called rooftop numerous times to find out what was going on."

"I left messages and emailed. No one got in contact with me."

"I sent the first email on the 12th. I then after over a week of trying and getting nowhere, receive an email on Wednesday saying that the deadline for the property was the 19th."

A spokesman from Rooftop Housing Group said: “Our tenant contacted us in January about her concerns over condensation in her home. Our specialist contractor went out on the February 1, and found that there was no damp, and that the fans in both the kitchen and bathroom were adequate for the size of the flat. They also suggested that small patches of mould from the condensation could be wiped off.

"We have given advice to our tenant on how to deal with condensation and any mould that we all may encounter in our homes at some time."

"Our Neighbourhood Officer for the area spoke to our tenant on the 1st of October and made sure that she was doing all she could to find another home, as she feels her current flat isn’t large enough. Rooftop currently does not have any appropriate empty properties being advertised in her chosen area, and we have advised our tenant to keep bidding on anything that comes up from other Housing Associations using the Wychavon District Council online bidding system."
