A 74-YEAR-old man caught drink driving in Evesham has been given a 20 month ban.

Worcester Magistrates Court heard on October 29 that David Haynes, of Seward Close, Badsey, was caught driving on Bretforton Road in September when he had 81 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath - the legal limit being 35mcg.

As well as the ban Haynes was fined £125 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34, and costs of £135.

The total, £294, was to be paid in full within £40 days.

Haynes apologised to the court and his wife at the end of the end of the case.
