JOY DOREEN BRANDON

Aged 97. Passed away peacefully on November 19th 2020, at Newstead House Nursing Home, Hereford. Much loved mother to Paul, and sister to Pam. Loved greatly by all her family, and many friends, both in Weobley where she lived happily for many years, and also from further afield. She was a beautiful bright star in so many people’s lives, and will be much missed, but has left us with so many happy memories to cherish. GRAHAM FRANK ALBERT OWENS

Affectionately known to many as ‘Bottle’, sadly died at Corbett House Nursing Home in Droitwich on November 14th, 2020 at the age of 77 from a long-standing illness. A former Birmingham stockbroker, restauranteur, and wine bar owner, world-traveller and general bon-viveur, Graham was widely known throughout the Midlands and beyond. He spent much of his colourful life based in Edgbaston, the Cotswolds, and Cornwall, prior to returning to Worcestershire in 2016 to be near to many of his close friends, with whom he had enjoyed many adventures over the years. A passionate lover of nature, he also actively supported the conservation of the endangered leatherback turtle and various eco-projects in South America. His funeral (by invitation only please, due to COVID restrictions) is to be held at St Peter’s Church, Evanjobb, Presteigne LD8 2PA on Saturday, December 5th, 2020 at 11 a.m., where he will finally be laid to rest near to his beloved grandparents under the green, green grass of his ancestral homeland in Wales.
