THERE have been six new coronavirus related deaths recorded at Worcestershire hospitals according to official statistics.

The latest NHS England daily figures (November 28) show there have been six new deaths recorded in the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust, which has now seen 339 deaths, with the number of deaths in the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust remaining at 31 deaths.

In total there have been 370 Covid-19 deaths in county hospitals.

A further 289 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 40,197.

Patients were aged between 27 and 100 years old. All except 16 (aged 45-92) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from October 14 to November 27.

The Acute Hospitals Trust covers Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital as well as the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital.

The Health and Care NHS trust covers community hospitals and rehabilitation wards, including Worcester City Impatient Unit, Malvern Community Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital, Pershore Community Hospital, the Princess of Wales Community Hospital in Bromsgrove, Tenbury Community Hospital and the Wyre Forest Ward.
