A WOMAN is due in court today for assault while a man stands accused of being armed with a golf club and attacking police in a sleepy Worcestershire village.

From alleged drug drivers to suspected sex offenders, it looks to be a busy day at Worcester Magistrates Court with a wide range of cases being heard throughout the day.

Gemma Louise Payne, 25, of Brittania Road, Worcester is due in today for assault occasioning actual bodily harm. between June 27 and June 28 last year. Nathan Etheridge, 35, of Branley Road, Birmingham, is up for wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm in Worcester on October 5, 2019.

Drug dealer 'in poor health'

Taylor Lowell, 27, of Moor Hall Lane, Stourport is due in court for drug driving in Canada Way, Lower Wick, Worcester on August 24 last year. The drug said by the prosecution to be in his system was Tetrahydrocannabinol, a metabolite of cannabis.

Fraud on Worcestershire's elderly

Peter Deparis, 28, of Cheltenham Road, Sedgeberrow faces four charges - criminal damage to a Hyundai, possession of an offensive weapon and two assaults on emergency workers, both police officers.

All offences are alleged to have taken place on December 3 last year in Inkberrow.

Darren Taylor, 52, of Stanley Road, Worcester is due in court for attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child between January 8 and July 31 last year.
