THE infection rate in Wychavon, which includes Evesham, Pershore and Droitwich, has seen another drop.

The rate was 285.1 cases per 100,000 people in the week up to February 2, a drop from 353.9 for the week up to January 27.

But there are still areas concerning concerns for having high infections rates. Among its areas causing concern will be Evesham Central with a rate of 731.9 per 100,000 people, Evesham East with a rate of 528.2 and Evesham South with a rate of 491.4.

Meanwhile Worcester's coronavirus infection rate has dropped again and is at levels not seen since December.

According to latest figures Worcester's infection rate was 294.4 cases per 100,000 people in the week up to February 2.

A total of 298 cases were recorded in that week.

The last time the rate was below 300 cases per 100,000 was during the Christmas period, and shows the rate has halved since early January, likely due to the effect of lockdown.

The highest infection rate in Worcester was in Dines Green and St John's that had a rise to a rate of 498 cases per 100,000 people in the week up to February 2.

And there was a similar story in Ronkswood and Nunnery Wood, that also had a rise, to a rate of 458 cases per 100,000 people.

Worcestershire's rate is now at 257.5 per 100,000, a drop from the 311.7 cases per 100,000 people in the week up to January 27

Malvern Hills has a rate of 158.8 cases per 100,000 people in the week up to February 2.

A total of 125 cases were recorded in Malvern Hills during the week.

The infection rate in Wyre Forest was 229 cases per 100,000 people in the week up to February 2.

Bromsgrove's infection rate was 190 cases per 100,000 in that week, while Redditch remains having the highest infection rate in the county, at 375.3 cases per 100,000.
