EMERGENCY services were called to Pershore this afternoon after police received a call from a member of the public concerned as they had heard someone shouting and screaming near the river.
Police and the fire and rescue service were called to the incident by Pershore bridge at around 12.50pm.
A spokeswoman for West Mercia Police said: "The emergency services attended and a search was carried out of the area, the fire and rescue service also searched the river.
"No one was located however, following our enquiries we did find the source of the shouting – which had been from a nearby property. The emergency services are no longer in the area."
