TWO school pupils have raised more than £1,200 for Cancer Research UK after completing a 26 mile walk around Worcester on Thursday.
Maisie Lyons and Maddie Worth, who both attend the King's School in Worcester, decided to take on the socially distanced challenge in memory of relatives they have lost through cancer.
Maddie lost her grandfather to the disease recently, and Maisie's great grandmother died from breast cancer.
Maisie's mum Kelly said: "Cancer is something which has touched both of the families, and with the lockdown, which has been difficult for people, they wanted to turn it into something positive.
"Maisie is a really keen netball player but she’s injured at the moment, so they couldn’t run but decided they could do this socially distanced marathon."
Maddie and Maisie started their walk around the city at 7am on Thursday, and completed it late that evening.
