A MAN has been given a 12 month conditional discharge for assaulting a woman in Evesham.

James Stockton assaulted a woman by beating her in Honeybourne on September 24 last year.

Stockton, of Abbots Barton, Winchester, pleaded not guilty to the charges at Worcester Magistrates Court on January 4 2021.

He was found guilty at the court on February 22 2021.

Stockton, 47, was discharged conditionally for a year, ordered to pay compensation of £50, a victim surcharge of £22, and costs of £250 to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

James Tank, of New Street, Bretforton, Evesham, was also sentenced for assaulting a woman.

Tank, 42, assaulted a woman by beating her between December 10 2020 and December 14 2020 in Evesham.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge on January 1 2021, but was found guilty by the court on February 19. He was fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and costs of £620 to CPS.

A man from Worcester was fined for stealing face cream from Poundland in Worcester.

On November 20 last year, Sam Gleadall, 34, stole Nivea face cream, worth £50, from the store.

The verdict was proved in absence on February 22.

Gleadall, of Ombersley Road, Worcester, was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £22 and costs of £85 to the CPS.

Christopher Burrows, of Queens Way, Hurley, Warwickshire, was caught driving at a speed exceeding 70mph on the M5 Southbound in Worcestershire on March 7 last year.

Burrows, 58, was found guilty by Worcester Magistrates Court on February 22 2021.

He was fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32, costs of £200 to the CPS, and his driving record was endorsed with three points.
