A MAN from Worcester has been given a suspended sentence for beating a woman.

On September 3 2020, Anil Kumar assaulted a woman by beating her in Worcester.

Kumar, 29, pleaded guilty to the charge at Worcester Magistrates Court on February 26 2021.

Kumar, of Southfield Street, Worcester, received a five week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.

He was also ordered to pay compensation of £200.

A man has been fined for breaching a community order.

Martin Fero failed to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Cheltenham Magistrates Court on October 7 2020 after failing to attend an unpaid work appointment which he was instructed to attend by his supervising officer on November 28 2020.

Fero, of Belmont Street, Worcester, failed to provide evidence to cover the absence within five working days.

Fero, 25, admitted the breach on February 26 2021, and was fined £113.

A man from Worcester has been handed a conditional discharge for stealing makeup from Boots in Worcester.

On December 16, Stephen Bullock, 55, stole revolution makeup from which cost £16 from the Boots store in Worcester high street.

Bullock, of Barbourne Road, Worcester, pleaded guilty to the charge at Worcester Magistrates Court on February 25 2021.

He was handed an 18 month conditional discharge, and ordered to pay compensation of £16.

Bullock was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £22, and costs of £135 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
