Editor Michael Purton said: “We are delighted to have received so many fantastic nominations already - more than we have been able to feature in our titles.

“The stories attached to these nominations show us that these awards are very much needed - to shine a light on a sector that has never needed our support more.

“If you know of someone, or an organisation - whether it be a care home, hospice, hospital, GP surgery, agency or charity - that deserves recognition please take five minutes over the Bank Holiday weekend to nominate them for an award.

“We are particularly keen to receive more nominations for the Palliative/End of Life Care award, Dementia Carer Award, Adolescent and Child Health Care Award, The Good Nurse Award, Health Care Employer Award and Health Trainer Award.”

The awards have been made possible thanks to the support of several local businesses and organisations - Worcestershire County Council, Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, Sanctuary Housing, Knights Pharmacy, Crossroads - Caring for Carers, and Insitu.
