THREE people died from Covid across ‘all settings’ in Worcestershire in the latest week of data available.

Two county residents died from Covid in hospital, one from Bromsgrove and another from Wyre Forest and one person from Worcester died from Covid in a care home, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

Nobody died from Covid at home, in a hospice or in a communal establishment in Worcestershire in the week up to April 2, the ONS said.

The latest figures show that as of April 2, a total of 1,338 people from Worcestershire classed as having Covid have died since the pandemic began.

A total of 200 people from Worcester have died from Covid including 111 people in hospital and 72 in a care home, 10 people from Worcester have died from Covid at home and four people have died in a hospice. Three people from Worcester have died in other communal settings.

A total of 261 people from Bromsgrove have died including 168 in hospital, 80 in a care home, seven at home and four elsewhere. Two people from Bromsgrove have died in other communal settings.

As many as 143 people from Malvern Hills have died from Covid including 82 at hospital, 52 in a care home and six home at home. Two people have died from Covid in a hospice and two people have died in other communal settings.

A total of 191 people from Redditch have died where Covid was mentioned on the death certificate including 155 people at hospital, 27 people in a care home and six people at home.

Three people from Redditch have died from Covid in other communal settings.

In Wychavon, which includes Evesham, Pershore and Droitwich, a total of 272 people have died from Covid including 164 people in hospital and 77 people in a care home.

A total of 16 people from Wychavon have died at home from Covid and seven people have died in a hospice. Seven people have died in other communal settings and one person has died elsewhere.

As many as 271 people from Wyre Forest have died from Covid including 182 people in hospital, 68 in a care home and 17 people have died at home. One person from Wyre Forest has died from Covid in a hospice, two have died in other communal settings and one person has died elsewhere.
