A MAN has been banned from driving for six months for speeding in Worcester.

On July 27 last year, John Wilde was caught driving at a speed exceeding 30mph on the B4638 Woodgreen Drive Worcester towards Marsh Lane, a restricted road.

The plea was guilty by single justice procedure at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on February 26 2021.

Wilde, 38, of Woodbury Road, Kidderminster, was fined £140, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34, and costs of £90.

He was disqualified from driving for six months due to repeat offending, and his driving record was endorsed with three points.

Meanwhile, two men have been fined for failing to provide information to the police.

In Droitwich on June 26 2020, Lee Nightingale failed to give information to the police relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

The case was proved by single justice procedure at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on November 26 2020.

Nightingale, 35, of Brockmoor Close, Stourbridge, was fined £200, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and costs of £90.

His driving record was also endorsed with six points.

And in Droitwich on June 19 last year, Benjamin Miller, failed to give information to the police relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

Miller, 43, of Bamburgh Crescent, Worcester, pleaded not guilty to the offence on December 11 2020.

He was found guilty on April 21, 2021, and was fined £180, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and costs of £210 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

His driving record was also endorsed with six points.
