DOGS Trust Evesham is appealing to find a home for a collie cross who has spent nearly two years – almost half his life – searching for new owners.

Blaze originally found himself in the care of Dogs Trust in September 2019 and has been adopted during this time but it did not work out.

He has seen more than 650 companions head off to their forever homes and now hopes to find an adult-only, pet-free home where he can really be the centre of attention.

Evesham Journal:

Neil Barker, assistant manager at Dogs Trust Evesham, said: “He has been blessed with a super personality and handsome good looks which means all his carers have fallen in love with him.

“He’s certainly part of our family at the centre but we’d really love him to find a home and family of his own.

“Blaze is a sensitive chap so his new owners will need to be patient whilst he gets to know their lifestyle and routine.

“Our training and behaviour team will be on hand throughout the adoption process and Dogs Trust provides lifelong behavioural support for all our adopted dogs over the phone or in one-to-one sessions to help make sure they can live their best life together with their family.

“Blaze has such a lot to offer a family who can give him the right set-up and lifestyle. In time, with a family who understands him, Blaze is sure to form a life-long friendship with his new owners.

“He will take time to build a bond with new owners but Blaze has come on leaps and bounds since coming to us and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for him in his forever home.

“Blaze is one of a kind. He will make a loving and rewarding pet for owners who are willing to take the time to work with him, and we will be by their side every step of the way.”
