THERE have been no recorded coronavirus-related deaths across Worcestershire's hospitals for a fifth day in a row.

The latest figures, announced by the NHS today (May 10), show no Covid-related deaths in the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, and its total remains at 806.

And there are no newly recorded deaths at Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, with its total remaining at 63.

The total number of coronavirus related deaths in Worcestershire hospitals therefore remains at 869.

And in all settings, which includes care homes and hospices, the total stays at 1,354.

Nationally, there were three deaths reported in the period covering from 4pm on April 8 to 4pm on April 9. 

The Acute Hospitals Trust covers Worcestershire Royal Hospital, as well as the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital.

The Health and Care NHS trust covers community hospitals and rehabilitation wards, including Worcester City Impatient Unit, Malvern Community Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital, Pershore Community Hospital, the Princess of Wales Community Hospital in Bromsgrove, Tenbury Community Hospital and the Wyre Forest Ward.
