TWO people have been fined for failing to provide information to the police in Droitwich.

In Droitwich on October 5 2020, Richard Ankrett failed to give information to police relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

The case was proved by single justice procedure at Hereford Magistrates Court on May 6 2021.

Ankrett, 31, of Walker Road, Walsall, was fined £660, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £66 and costs of £90.

His driving record was also endorsed with six points.

And in Droitwich on March 17 this year, Maria Barbu failed to provide information to the police relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

The verdict was proved by single justice procedure at Hereford Magistrates Court on May 6 2021.

Barbu, 27, of Page Street, Swansea, was fined £660, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £66, costs of £90, and his driving record was also endorsed with six points.

Meanwhile,a man has been fined for speeding in Worcester.

On October 11 last year, Jomshed Ali was caught driving at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour on the A4103 Leigh Sinton, a restricted road.

The verdict was proved by single justice procedure at Hereford Magistrates Court on May 6 2021.

Ali, 59, of Washwood Heath Road, Birmingham, was fined £220, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34, costs of £90 and his driving record was endorsed with three points.
