QUADBIKE stunts and a grand parade of livestock are among the big attractions as Moreton Show comes back with a bang.

Curtailed by Covid restrictions in 2020, one of the largest one-day agricultural shows in the UK returns to the north Cotswolds town it has showcased for more than 70 years.

Attracting a whopping 20,000 visitors, the show prides itself on its traditional values, providing a stage for local produce and crafts whilst delivering an entertaining and educational day out for all.

Horse and sponsorship secretary Jess Parkes said: "We are planning on bringing back pretty much the whole show in its entirety, with widened aisle ways and new shopping avenues to replace previous covered marquees.

"The Grand Arena will have its usual full timetable with Paul Hannam Quadbike Stunt Show and the famous Livestock Grand Parade as its highlights."

Tom Hayman-Joyce, chairman of Moreton Show, added: "I’m thrilled that our show will go on.

"Even though restrictions are lifting, we are still putting lots of measures in place to ensure you feel safe. Please pop the date in your diary – Saturday, September 4 – the team and I can’t wait to welcome you."

Plans for the event have been boosted by Sarah Taylor being appointed as showground and trade stand secretary.

Sarah has been show secretary since 2015 and is switching roles to steer Moreton Show through the post Covid-19 landscape.

Sarah and her family run the popular and successful Swalcliffe Park Equestrian at their family farm near Banbury, home to horse trials, schooling and clinics.

Sarah said: "I’m really looking forward to my new job at Moreton Show.

"I enjoy the logistical side of running events which I've been involved with for many years. In these post-pandemic, challenging times there are a lot of new considerations when staging major shows.

"We’ve got a great team here at Moreton Show and we’re planning and working hard towards our show in September."
