THE hunt is on for some brave souls willing to walk over hot coals to raise money for a local charity.

The Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust is looking for people to challenge themselves to a firewalk - where participants walk over coals with a temperature of over 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit.

The event will be hosted by UK Firewalk one of the UK ‘s leading firewalking companies.

The walkers will be trained by Scott Bell, who is twice the Guinness World Record holder for the greatest distance walked on fire.

GKCCT founder Jen Kelly said: “If you are looking to do a fantastic challenge, but maybe running is not your thing, our firewalk would be a great way to achieve something you never thought you could whilst raising money for the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust at the same time!

"We are looking for a team of daredevils to face their fears and walk a short distance, 15ft to be exact, across the soft glowing smouldering hot coals. It may sound tough but it really is safe and what could be more fun?"

The firewalk is open to anyone over the age of 12 and will be held on Friday, October 15 at Aztec Adventure in Bromsgrove.
