A COFFEE morning is behind held next week in Worcestershire to help raise vital funds for a cancer charity.

The Valley, in Evesham, will be hosting Worcestershire's "biggest" coffee morning on Friday 24, at 10.30am.

The shopping mall is looking for 500 people to attend the event in a bid to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Emily Burton, retail commercial manager at The Valley said: β€œIt’s great to be partnering with Macmillan and to be creating such an exciting event. People affected by cancer need support now more than ever so we are hoping to raise as much money as possible.”

The mall want to play their part in the fight against the disease, which one in two people will face in their lives.

Visitors can enjoy a "cuppa and cake away" by bringing a chair, cup and a slice of cake or the "bake n make" by bringing along their favourite cake.

The charity has asked visitors bring cash to donate and if they can't make it donate via the fundraising page: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/thevalleyevesham

Macmillan Cancer Support helps almost 2 million people with cancer every year.
