THE beautiful views from the river Severn in Upton-upon-Severn wowed Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse.

The pair were in awe of the beauty of the county during Sunday night's episode of Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing.

The final episode of series 4 came from Upton-upon-Severn as Bob and Paul were taken out by Tim Maslen, from the town's Severn Expeditions.

Tim helped the comedians find the best spots to catch the elusive Zander which neither fisherman has been able to catch before.

The pair were enamoured with the beautiful views with Paul saying: "I don't want to leave, it's so lovely isn't it."

While on the boat, both were in awe of the stunning surroundings of Upton as they spotted heron, foals and enjoyed the countryside.

Whitehouse said: "This is nice up here Bob. Bit Swallows and Amazons isn't it."

Tim took them to the perfect spot and showed them the techniques needed to catch a zander.

Ther pair enjoyed a picnic on the banks of the river Severn before heading back out to continue to find the Zander.

After a successful trip, the pair stayed at Sula Lightship boat in Gloucester Quays.

They returned the following day to fish once again but this time from the banks of the Severn with This Country actor Charlie Cooper.

The trio discussed Charlie's love of fishing, shared a picnic then enjoyed even more fishing.
