West Midlands Police are at the scene near to the Spies Lane bridge, Halesowen after being called just before 9.40am as they establish what's happened and identify the person.
A spokesperson for the West Midlands Police said: "The road is likely to remain closed for some time. Drivers should find alternative routes and follow the instructions of police and
@HighwaysWMIDS at the scene. The charity @samaritans is available 24/7 if you need someone to listen."
