A cat once thought to be feral has found a new home after a lengthy recovery.
Evesham’s Cat Protection Adoption Centre have shared the story of Leo who was brought in to the centre several months ago.
A member of the public had caught Leo in a cat trap, believing him to be “a nuisance feral”.
After a long journey of recovery, Leo has built up his trust and is now enjoying life with his new family.
A spokesman of Cats Protection Evesham said: “The poor boy was absolutely petrified and in a right state.
“His fur was matted, he was dirty, and he was so desperate for food he had been breaking into people’s houses.”
They added: “Our trained staff quickly figured out that Leo was not feral and was just a very scared little soul who had lost his faith in people.
“It took us several months to re-build his trust, but the time, effort, and extra TLC was so worth it!
“Leo developed into a chatty, loving boy and as you can see from his ‘before and after’ photos, he has settled in wonderfully to his lovely new home.”
