Free festive fun is on offer in Wychavon’s town centres in the run-up to Christmas.

Wychavon’s Christmas roadshow will be visiting Chapman Court in Pershore on 4 December, Market Street in Evesham on 11 December and Droitwich Spa High Street on 18 December.

There will be Christmas music, giant games including Connect 4 and Jenga as well as the opportunity for people to test their skills on the rodeo reindeer or rodeo Christmas pudding.

Visitors can also grab a festive snap with friends in the photobooth, which comes complete with props, as well as enjoy delicious candy floss and popcorn and all free of charge.

Whatever the weather on the day, it is guaranteed there will be some white stuff thanks to the snow machine.

Anyone who pops along to the Droitwich Spa event won’t be able to take part in the giant games but will instead be able to enjoy a visit to Santa’s inflatable grotto.

On top of all this, there will be a small selection of stalls and local businesses will be offering mince pies, hot drinks, Christmas decorations and festive workshops.

The roadshows are part of Wychavon’s ‘Be Curious this Christmas’ campaign which is encouraging people to explore the local businesses they have on their doorstep. It also highlights the important role they play in community life.

A series of videos have been produced telling the personal stories of local business owners and their passion for what they do. The campaign also highlights the fact that by shopping local, people are backing local people and supporting the place where they live.

Cllr Richard Morris, Executive Board Member for Economic Growth and Tourism on Wychavon District Council, said: “We hope people enjoy the free festive fun on offer at our Christmas roadshows, as well as take the chance to be curious about our wonderful high streets and discover some of the great independent businesses we have in our district.”

People can view the campaign videos, search our directory of local shops and eateries, and read about festive things to see and do this Christmas at www.valeandspa.co.uk/shopping

The campaign and roadshows have been funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
