A cat once on the brink of being put down is celebrating one year at his forever home.
Rocky was brought to the Cats Protection Evesham Adoption Centre with a nasty eye infection that was so painful he wouldn’t allow staff to touch him.
Veterinary specialists were called in to help but the infection proved so difficult that Rocky was close to being put to sleep.
Finally, after weeks of dedicated behavioural work, Rocky allowed staff to apply eye drops.
On Wednesday, December 8, Rocky celebrated one year with his new family.
A staff member said: “He steadily improved day by day and was then adopted by a wonderful family who have continued to take amazing care of him.
“As you can see from his before-and-after photos, Rocky is now a very happy, healthy boy and recently celebrated his one year 'Gotcha Day' with a tasty meaty birthday cake.”
